CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli today said constitution implementation was far more important than its amendment as present context.Inaugurating the CPN-UML Town Committee’s first convention in Bara’s Nijgadh today, the UML chief criticised the government for moving ahead the constitution amendment process instead of fixing its implementation.“This is period to implement the constitution rather than to amend it as amendment undoubtedly possible on the foundation necessity,” he said.Further, Oli accused the ruling parties of pushing the country into grave crisis. “In fact, statute amendment can be a pretext for those elements who intend to instigate conflict in u . s . by splitting hills for that plains,” argued the former prime minister.He also accused the Madhes-based parties of being against the development of Madhes. “They are individuals who don’t want to see development in Madhes, typically calling us anti-Madhes although our party has declared numerous development projects for Madhes,” he said.He added, “Otherwise why do the Madhes-based leaders and parties never raise any development issues, but keep ranting on petty issues?”A version of this article appears in print on November 27, 2016 of The Himalayan Times.
