Naya Shakti Nepal party held a sit-in at Bhadrakali Kathmandu on Friday to pronounce its dissatisfaction against the joint statement issued by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nepal's Pm Pushpa Kamal Dahal's throughout the latter's India visit. Naya Shakti has opposed some things in the joint saying. "The joint statement is against our national interest it states that Nepal and India share same position in major international issues," reads the statement from the party. Former pm and coordinator of Naya Shakti, Baburam Bhattarai, and senior party leaders were present at the sit in protest. The party has also opposed the government's decision of delineating local units on the cornerstone of existing Ilakas. Naya Shakti Party has also urged the major political parties and the government to expedite the constitution amendment process, bringing the agitating Madhes-based and other Indigenous political parties on this phone. @myrepublica
